Florida Private Investigator – Case of the Bum, the Cheater and the Wardrobe
Surveillance in Florida has it’s ups and downs, you just need to be able to adjust and improvise. As we were trying to help a client survive infidelity, we came up with a well designed plan for the surveillance in Fort Lauderdale. After following the subject, we knew he frequented the same areas as he walked from his office to restaurants and bars. When leaving his office, he walked through a homeless area. Our surveillance continued with the following plan of action:
- Used a three investigator surveillance.
- One investigator dressed like a homeless person – this investigator had prior law enforcement undercover experience. Dressing him for the part was a challenge.
- Video surveillance equipment was used – body worn covert cameras included: glasses and button cameras. The undercover operative disguised his video camera in a shopping bag.
- One investigator tailed the subject from the office building, one was near the restaurants and the other was in the homeless area.
Results were fantastic. Subject exited office building with a female “co-worker” and walked toward the restaurant area. As they walked through the homeless area, the subject stopped and gave a man some money. A nice gesture and this is where he is caught. The female grabbed the subject and kissed him. Not just a peck but a passionate kiss. The best video we had was from our undercover operative. It was video that was movie quality. Wouldn’t have got that shot without being “homeless” and blending in with the environment.
The couple now proceeded to the restaurant, holding hands. Now the other investigator picks up the subject. They proceed to enter a quaint little restaurant and sit in the back – on same side of the booth. Two investigators(not the homeless operative) enter the restaurant and are seated at a table nearby. The dinner consisted of kissing, embracing and feeding each other.
Great video was obtained, and although the client was upset on the findings, she was happy with the our investigation and believes she can know move on with her life.
